PG
- PG means Parental Guidance. These films may be unsuitable for younger children around the age of eight.
- As long as the film is appropriated there are no themes prohibited at PG. Smoking, drinking, bullying are not seen in PG movies and if they are there must be a clear message that it’s bad.
- There can be some bad language in PG movies but if it gets to heavy it will move on to the next category.
- If there is not too much detail references to sex are allowed because they child will also not really understand it.
- Violence is allowed as long as there are not a lot of details and we can’t see the injury. Scary and jump moments are allowed as long as it doesn’t show realistic violence or horror.
- Dangerous behaviour which a child could copy will not be seen in a PG movie.
- There should not be a strong focus on drugs in these movies.
